About
Hi, I'm Merrill. I like making things.
I build apps, make games, try out business ideas and share what happens — the parts that work and the parts that don't.
I'm endlessly curious about how things work, and even more curious about how people work. That curiosity is what keeps me starting new projects, and Made by Merrill is where I document them, from first idea to whatever comes next.

Things I'm into
Building apps & games
Turning ideas into things people can actually tap, click and play.
Entrepreneurship
Starting things, launching things, and learning what it takes to keep them going.
Business experiments
Small, honest tests of ideas — with the results shared either way.
Behavioral science
Why people do what they do, and how that shapes the things worth building.
Research & analytics
Asking good questions, measuring carefully, and solving the actual problem.
New tools
Learning new technologies by building something real with them.
Background
The psychologist in the workshop
I have a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology — the science of people at work. My background spans research, consulting and entrepreneurial work.
That training shows up in how I build: start with a hypothesis, measure what actually happens, and pay close attention to how real people behave. It's also why the experiments here come with honest results instead of highlight reels.
